In this series of 3 pillars we wanted to create a triangular gateway to the Theódïomoni, The Primordials of Time.

In this first pillar we were looking for a way to bring shape to the abstract term 'past'.

It had to look and feel like a 'rune' -to be still, emanating a calm atmosphere. As though transitioning into its final form, a solid square that stands in contrast to the dynamic and morphing circle.

Laurie primarily used Red and Bronze on this heavily treated and teased canvas.
Both colours resonating with us as representational of the past, both emotionally and visually in objective structure.
